Jalan Kuala is a minor road in the River Valley Planning Area of Singapore. It is in Postal District 09. The road connects to River Valley Road on one end, and reaches a dead end on the other. It is largely a residential road lined with apartment and condominium complexes.
Jalan Kuala dates back to 1958 (according to Singapore Street Names), when a new government school was built there. I believe that school would be the River Valley English and Chinese School, precursor of present-day River Valley Primary School, which was established in 1985. The reason the road got its name is that it is heading in the direction of the Singapore River, and the name Jalan Kuala means "estuary road" in Malay.
