The area is located near the border with Kedah, between Tasek Gelugor town centre to the south and Kepala Batas to the west. The main road, Jalan Kubang Menerong, connects with Jalan Gelugor, the main road in Tasek Gelugor, as well as to Jalan Tun Hamdan Sheikh Tahir, one of the main roads in Kepala Batas.
The developed areas of Kubang Menerong includes a few housing estates with single-storey link houses, such as Taman IKS Perda Kubang Menerong and Taman Perda Indah.
