Jalan Permai is the main road in Brown Garden, a neighbourhood in Gelugor, Penang. The name "permai" can be translated as "peace" in Malay. The area used to be developed with government quarters, but over the years these have been redeveloped into private housing. It is known as Brown Garden, or Taman Brown, as it is one of the estates that once belonged to David Brown.
Jalan Permai begins at its junction with Hilir Pemancar. From there it heads west. The road used to reach a dead end, but has since been extended all the way to connect with Jalan Bukit Gambir, where rapid housing development is presently on the way.
