Jalan Mahkamah, Bayan Lepas (15 February 2013)
Jalan Mahkamah is a road in Bayan Lepas, Penang. It connects Jalan Bayan Lepas, at the branch-off with Jalan Tun Dr Awang, with Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim. It also branches to Jalan Kenyalang, which serves the small housing estate of Taman Seri Emas. Jalan Mahkamah used to be a rural road in the area, though in recent years, it has seen rapid residencial development.
Among people working at the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, Jalan Mahkamah is probably best known for the Mak Long Malay Rice. Since then, other eateries have opened here, among them Bangkok Tom Yam.
Jalan Mahkamah is busiest on Saturdays when a pasar malam is in session. During that time, the whole road is closed to vehicular traffic.
