The George (GPS: 5.42002, 100.33219) is a 5-star boutique hotel in George Town, Penang. Located along busy Penang Road, at the junction of Argyll Road, it occupies a 6-storey newly erected building that is designed to preserve the heritage look and feel of George Town. The George Penang will feature 93 guest rooms and suites. Construction began in 2018, and The George had its soft opening on 12 December 2022. For the benefit of visitors by car, there is basement parking.

Facilities at The George include a saltwater swimming pool, gymnasium and steam bath. There are two dining outlets namely George Bar and Ka Satu, a restaurant that seats 220 diners. The name Ka Satu (from Pulo Ka Satu) is in reference to Penang Island being known as the "first island" on early maps.

The George offers 92 well-appointed rooms and suites. Room types include Deluxe (326.36 sqft), Executive Deluxe (407.09 sqft), Premier Deluxe (430.56 sqft), Executive Room (430.56 sqft), Junior Suite (409.03 sqft), Executive Suite (559.72 sqft), Studio Suite (693.20 sqft), Honeymoon Suite (562.31 sqft), Duplex Suite (441.32 sqft) and Heritage Suite (656.60 sqft).

The site of The George has been occupied by various properties through the city's long history. Among them was once the Australian Hotel, Teik Bin Chinese Dispensary and Osakaya Japanese Sundry Shop. Across Argyll Road from the hotel was The Odeon and Abbas & Sons, while across Penang Road is Line Clear Nasi Kandar.
