Upton Park Tube Station


Upton Park Station (GPS: 51.53512, 0.03424) is a station of the London Underground in Upton Park, in the London Borough of Newham in East London. Located in Travelcard Zone 3, it is served by the District Line and the Hammersmith & City Line, both between the Plaistow Tube Station and East Ham Tube Station.

Upton Park Tube Station is the station serving Boleyn Ground, the football stadium of West Ham United. The station opened in 1877 for the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. The District Line began serving it in 1902, followed by the Metropolitan Line, precursor of the Hammersmith & City Line, in 1936.
