Chorleywood Tube Station


Chorleywood Station (GPS: 51.65423, -0.51826) is a station of the London Underground and National Rail in Chorleywood, in the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire, England. The station is in Travelcard Zone 7, about 20 miles to the northwest of London. It is served by both the Metropolitan Line and Chiltern Railways between the Chalfont & Latimer Tube Station (heading towards Amersham or Chesham for the London Underground) and Rickmansworth Tube Station (heading towards Baker Street or Aldgate Tube Station).

The Chorleywood Tube Station began operations in 1889 and was originally called the Chorley Wood station. It was renamed Chorley Wood & Chenies in 1915, then back to Chorley Wood in 1934, before being changed to Chorleywood in 1964. Electrification of the line was completed in 1960.
