Boston Manor Station (GPS: 51.49576, -0.32474) is a station of the London Underground in Boston Manor, in the
London Borough of Hounslow. The station building is located along Boston Manor Road. It is in Travelcard Zone 4.
Boston Manor Tube Station is served by the Heathrow branch of the
Piccadilly Line between the
Northfields Tube Station (heading towards
Cockfosters) and
Osterley Tube Station (heading towards
Heathrow Airport Terminals 4 or
5).
Boston Manor Tube Station began operations in 1883 for the Metropolitan District Railway, now called District Line, towards Hounslow Town. The station was originally known as Boston Road station although the platform signages show Boston Manor for Hanwell. The line underwent electrification in 1905, and was renamed to its present name in 1911.
The present station building dates from 1934, when it was rebuilt to replace the 1883 structure. The new building was designed by Stanley Heaps in the modern European style. The Piccadilly Line began services to Boston Manor Tube Station in 1933 while the District Line pulled out in 1964.
