Barnett Road , or Jalan Barnett, is a quiet residential road off Macalister Road in George Town. The Cantonese Methodist Church is located at its junction.

As with the other roads in the neighbourhood, Barnett Road was laid out at the early part of the 20th century and named after an officer of the then military installation located in the area.

Barnett Road was named after C.W. Barnett, who was elected to be one of the Municipal Commissioners of George Town in 1889.

Getting there

The nearest bus stop is along Macalister Road. It is served by Rapid Penang bus 10 and 304.
