Seberang Jaya is a township in Seberang Perai. It is located on the south side of the Perai River.

Seberang Jaya was developed in the mid 1970's to provide housing for workers in the neighbourhood factories. It has since grown into a major township, the biggest on the mainland side of Penang. Its proximity to the Penang Bridge also makes Seberang Jaya an ideal location for those working on Penang Island.

There are several hypermarkets and shopping malls in Seberang Jaya including including Carrefour, Pacific, Tesco Extra, Sunway Carnival, to name a few.
