Phra Mahathat Naphapholphumisiri Chedi (GPS: 18.55266, 98.4800; Thai: พระมหาธาตุเจดีย์นภพลภูมิสิริ ) are two stupas located near the summit of Doi Inthanon in Thailand. To be exact, Phra Mahathat Naphapholphumisiri, also known as The Great Holy Relic's Pagoda, is the Queen's Pagoda, while a short distance away is Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon พระมหาธาตุนภเมทนีดล , or the King's Pagoda. Located at a height of 2280 meters (7600 ft) above sea level, they were built in 1987 and 1992 to commemorate the 60th birthdays of the King and Queen of Thailand.

Phra Mahathat Nabhapol Bhumisiri is a purple-colored stupa built to in conjunction with the 60th birthday of Queen Sirikit. The Phra Mahathat Nabha Metaneedol is a brown-colored stupa built to celebrate King Bhumibol's 60th birthday. Both stupas were constructed by the Royal Thai Armed Force.

Getting there

The Naphapholphumisiri Chedi located a short distance from the summit of Doi Inthanon. Take Route 108 out of Chiang Mai, then between the towns of Khuang Pao and Chom Thong, turn right into Route 1009 which goes all the way to Naphapholphumisiri Chedi.
