Teluk Kumbar Coastal Pillbox (17 February 2022)
Teluk Kumbar Coastal Pillbox (GPS: 5.2875, 100.22667) is a World War II bunker located in the village of Teluk Kumbar, Penang. It is just a short distance from the shoreline, but because it is surrounded by village houses, this is not immediately apparent. This is one of the better preserved pillboxes in Penang, having maintained much of its original appearance and giving a good indication why such bunkers were given the name "pillbox". The local villagers have appropriated it as part of their garden prop.
