For of time of writing (8 Sept 2026), Pan Island Link 1 remains a proposed highway whose final form depends on further traffic, land-use, environmental, financial and engineering studies. Its continuing inclusion in state and federal transport planning demonstrates its strategic importance, but the latest studies also show that the project has not yet reached the point where its final alignment and construction timetable can be regarded as settled.
