Sungei Road, Singapore
Sungei Road is a major road in
Rochor, Singapore. Today it is broken into two parts, one connecting
Bukit Timah Road to
Ophir Road, at the Jalan Besar intersection, and a second part from
Jalan Besar, wrapping around Sim Lim Tower, to
Pasar Lane. The road takes its name after the
Rochor River.
Today Sungei Road also refers to the subzone or neighbourhood that is bordered by
Jalan Besar,
Syed Alwi Road and the
Rochor River.
