Stanley Street is a one-way street in the Cecil subzone of the Downtown Core planning area of Singapore. Traffic is from McCallum Street to Boon Tat Street. This street was known in Hokkien (Taiji Romanisation) as Ma1cor1 Keong1 Hee1tai3 Au33 ( "behind the stage of the Mazu Temple"). The Mazu Temple refers to Thian Hock Keng Temple, which used to have its stage for festive-day operas across Telok Ayer Street, and has its rear facing Stanley Street.
