Established on 29 July, 2000, this is the third autonomous university in the island nation. It offers business programmes that are modelled after the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Offering undergraduate, graduate and PhD programmes, the university has an enrolment of 10,000 student. Among the programmes available at SMU include business administration, business analytics, economics, accountancy, information systems management, law and the social sciences.
