Republic Plaza has 66 storeys above ground and 1 basement. It is developed and owned by City Developments Limited, an international property and hotel conglomerate. Republic Plaza occupies the city block along Cecil Street, with its main entrance at D'Almeida Street. It was designed by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa. The tower tapers as it rises, allowing it to withstand strong winds and helps improve on wind loading.
