Phillip Subzone, Downtown Core, Singapore


The Nicoll Subzone is a compact district within the Downtown Core Planning Area of Singapore. Covering just 0.03944 sq km, it is a predominantly commercial area with no permanent residential population. It is bordered by Boat Quay to the north, Raffles Place to the east, and China Square to the southwest.

Nicoll Subzone occupies a small portion of central Singapore and serves as a connector between the bustling financial district at Raffles Place and the historic commercial area around Boat Quay. Its compact size makes it primarily an office and retail corridor.

As of 2024, Nicoll Subzone has no permanent residential population1. The subzone sees a high daytime influx of office workers, business visitors, and tourists visiting nearby heritage sites.
