Marina Centre is a subzone within the Downtown Core Planning Area of Singapore. It covers an area of 887,000 square meters. The area was created out of reclamation which began on 8 July 1978 and the property developed there were designed by DP Architects, in collaboration with John Portman Associates; Kevin Roche, John Dinkeloo and Associates; John Burgee and Philip Johnson; and Tsao and McKnown; between 1986 and 1997,
