Jalan Besar MRT Station, Singapore

Jalan Besar MRT Station (GPS: 1.30525, 103.85556; DT22) is an underground station of the Singapore MRT. It is located along Jalan Besar, near the junction of Ophir Road, and near to Sim Lim Tower. The station is served by the Downtown Line, between the Bencoolen MRT Station in the south and Bendemeer MRT Station in the north. The Downtown Line also crosses over at this point, between the Rochor MRT Station and Bugis MRT Station, but presently there are no plans to turn this station into an interchange. It opened to commuters as part of Phase 3 (aka Downtown Line 3) of the line on 21 October, 2017.
