Hindoo Road, Singapore

Hindoo Road, SingaporeHindoo Road, Singapore

Hindoo Road is a minor road in Singapore's Little India. It is a one way road with traffic entering at Kampong Kapor Road and exiting at Serangoon Road. According to Singapore Street Names1, the road was originally known as Hindu Lane. It was so named because of the Tamil community, who are Hindus, living in the area. For some reason, the road was spelled Hindoo Road rather than Hindu Road.
