Penang Sentral-Sungai Petani Intercity Bus Service is a bus service between Penang Sentral in Butterworth with Sungai Petani in Kedah. This service commenced on 2 August, 2015. The frequency is about one bus every 30-45 minutes.The first bus leaves from Penang Sentral to Sungai Petani leaves at 7:00am in the morning, while the last one leaves at 10:00pm at night.
From Sungai Petani, the first bus leaves at 6:00am in the morning while the last one leaves at 9:00pm at night. The fare is RM4.
In addition to the single fare, a monthly bus pass called Rapid Intercity is available at RM120 per month. This bus pass is for unlimited usage of all Rapid Penang bus routes.
