Pan Island Link 1 Highway
Go BackPan Island Link 1 Highway is a proposed highway across the light of Penang Island from north to south. It covers a distance of 19.5km. The northern end of the highway is at Gurney Drive while the southern end is at the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway (LCE). In between, there are six interchanges, at Gurney Drive (km 0), Jalan Utama (km 2.0), Paya Terubong (km 9.2), Relau (km 13.3), Jalan Tun Dr Awang (km 17.0) and Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway (km 19.5).
The Pan Island Link High is intended to alleviate the traffic load on the existing Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway and surrounding arterial roads including Weld Quay, Green Lane, Jalan Jelutong and Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah. This second north-south span will supplement the LCE.
