It is part of the MRT Putrajaya Line and lies between the Sri Damansara Barat MRT Station (PY06) to the west and the Sri Damansara Timur MRT Station (PY08) to the northeast. The station began operations on 16 June 2022, together with the first phase of the Putrajaya Line1.
The Sri Damansara Sentral MRT Station serves as one of three stations in the Bandar Sri Damansara area on the MRT Putrajaya Line. Strategically built to provide improved connectivity for residents and commuters in northwest Selangor, the station facilitates access to surrounding residential areas, light industrial zones, and commercial premises along Persiaran Dagang2.
The station is part of a cluster of MRT stations—Sri Damansara Barat, Sri Damansara Sentral, and Sri Damansara Timur—that serve the same township at different entry points. This configuration allows for better pedestrian and feeder bus coverage throughout the area3.
Sri Damansara Sentral MRT Station is an elevated facility featuring a central island platform served by two tracks. The station design follows the standard architectural language of the Putrajaya Line, incorporating lightweight roofing, open-air concourses, and accessibility features including lifts and escalators. A multi-bay Rapid KL feeder bus terminal is located adjacent to the station for onward travel4.
The station can be accessed via Persiaran Dagang, the main thoroughfare through Bandar Sri Damansara, and is situated close to the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR, E35) interchange. It is also within short driving distance from the Damansara–Puchong Expressway (LDP, E11) and the Damansara–Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH, E33)5.
The station integrates with the Rapid KL feeder bus network and connects to nearby residential and commercial areas. Commuters can transfer to bus routes serving Kepong, Damansara, and Sungai Buloh, while interchanging with other rail lines can be done at Kampung Batu MRT Station and Titiwangsa MRT Station further along the line6.
