Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar, Ipoh (19 October, 2018)
Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar is a street in downtown Ipoh, Perak. Located in the Ipoh New Town, it starts at Jalan Leong Sin Nam and ends at Jalan C.M. Yusuf. In between, it is intersected by Jalan Raja Ekram, Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Jalan Mustapha Al-Bakri, Jalan Theatre, Jalan Yau Tet Shin, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Jalan Masjid and Jalan Russel.
Today Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar has become one of the main food streets of Ipoh. The street food epicentre is the intersection of Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar with Jalan Yau Tet Shin.
Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar was named after the 15th Panglima Kinta, the local nobleman of the area. The road was originally called Osborne Street, after Douglas Osborne, the founder of the Osborne & Chappel Mining Company.
