Pulau Besar (GPS: 2.1112, 102.32777) is the biggest island off the coast of Malacca. It has been developed for recreation and tourism. There are several resorts on this island including Pandanusa Island Resort, which also runs the Pandanusa Golf Club, Api-Api Resort and Samudera Resort. During the Sultanate period, the island was known as Pulau Air.
