Jalan Munshi Abdullah is a major road in the historic city of Malacca. Named after Munshi Abdullah bin Abdul Kadir, a 19th-century Malay writer and scholar, the road is historically and commercially significant, serving as a key thoroughfare in the city.
Jalan Munshi Abdullah starts at the junction with Jalan Temenggong, a continuation of the road from Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho in the east. From there, it is a two-way road heading west until the intersection with Jalan Bendahara, after which it is a one-way street heading west, intersected by Jalan Bunga Raya and Jalan Bunga Raya Pantai, and branches to Jalan Pasar Baru, before ending at Jambatan Hang Tuah from where the road continues as Jalan Hang Tuah.
Jalan Munshi Abdullah is a bustling commercial area with a mix of traditional and modern businesses. The street is home to various retail shops, restaurants, and local enterprises that contribute to Malacca's economy. Due to its central location, it is frequently visited by both tourists and locals.
Additionally, the road plays a role in Malacca's cultural heritage, as it is named after a historical figure who significantly influenced Malay literature and education.
