Hospital Melaka (GPS: 2.21738, 102.26073) is the general hospital and biggest hospital in Malacca. It is a complex of many different medical departments located off Jalan Mufti Haji Khalil.
Hospital Melaka serves as both the secondary and specialist hospital, meaning patients are refer to it from the public health clinics. The hospital traces its history to its founding on 12 February 1934, when Melaka was still part of the Straits Settlements. The opening of the hospital was officiated by Sir Cecil Clementi, Governor & Commander-in-Chief of the Straits Settlements from 1930 to 1934.
