Makan Kitchen, DoubleTree Penang (1 January 2018)


Makan Kitchen is the main dining outlet at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang. Located one floor down from the lobby, it offers a wide range of Malaysian cuisine, from Malay to Chinese, Indian as well as Western and other Asian fare. The dishes are clustered at different food stations, and there is even a buffet corner for children.

Makan Kitchen is open daily from 6:30am to 10:30am Mondays to Fridays, and till 11:00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Lunch is served here from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, High Tea from 12:30pm to 4:00pm, and Dinner from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

Since its opening on 1 January, 2018, Makan Kitchen has served my wife and me a few times already, including the very first luncheon on opening day. Here are some of the meals we have had there.
