Lorong Kulit, George Town, Penang (9 July 2022)


Lorong Kulit is a minor road in the Dato Kramat area of George Town. It is the main road to the Rapid Penang office and bus depot as well as to the City Stadium.

The name Lorong Kulit means "leather (or hide) lane", in reference to leather-making trade that used to take place in its vicinity. Today however, Lorong Kulit is synonymous with the Lorong Kulit Flea Market.

The main portion of Lorong Kulit connects Dato Kramat Road to Lilitan Stadium. The lane continues via a small bridge to Lintang P. Ramlee in the south. Lorong Kulit also branches to Persiaran Stadium.

The nearest bus stop to Lorong Kulit is along Dato Kramat Road. Rapid Penang Bus 201, 202, 203 and 204 pass through that stretch of Dato Kramat Road.
