Kuala Juru (GPS: 5.34031, 100.40897) is a small fishing village in Penang Mainland. Most of the people living here are ethnic Chinese. The community is served by a single main road, Jalan Kuala Juru, which begins at the junction with Jalan Juru and Jalan Sungai Semilang. The village is on the southern bank of the Juru River, close to the river mouth, which gives it its name.
Many local people go to Kuala Juru for seafood. Perhaps the most popular place for seafood that is the eponymously named Restoran Nelayan Kuala Juru.
