Jalan Tramway (15 December 2008)
Jalan Tramway, now also written as Jalan Trem, is a short road off Dato Kramat Road. It got its name because there used to be a tram depot there (which was completed in 1907). There was a time when trams ran on the streets in Penang. You can learn more about it from my other article, When Trams ran in Penang.
Today the site of the tram depot is being used as the depot for Rapid Penang buses.
Getting there
The nearest bus stop is at Dato Kramat Road. Rapid Penang Bus 11, 201, 202, 203, 204, 206, 301, 302 and 502 pass through there.Map of Jalan Tramway
