Jalan Madrasah is a minor road in Jelutong, Penang. The road was and still is a rural road through the Malay village. Although in recent years, urban development has arrived in the form of modern double-storey terrace houses, Jalan Madrasah is still lined with Malay kampung houses, and ten meters from its junction with Jalan Jelutong, the city seems like a thousand miles away.
Jalan Madrasah is connected to busy Jalan Jelutong on its western end, where it faces the Jelutong Market, and with Lintang Hajjah Rehmah on its eastern end, with the slightly quieter high-rise residential neighbourhood of Mutiara Heights.
The name Madrasah means "Islamic religious school". Jalan Madrasah is most likely named after Madrasatul Ibtidaiatul Islamiah, an Islamic school that was established there in 1945, and is still standing today.
