Garden Suite, Hotel Equatorial Penang (7 June, 2015)
The Garden Suite is one of the suites at Hotel Equatorial Penang. This suite is often rented out as a serviced apartment. These service apartments are called "garden" suites because they face the lush greenery of Bukit Jambul.
I was given a tour of this luxurious unit, and was told that the previous tenant rented it for a few years! There was a period when the tenant wasn't even living in Penang, but continued to hold on to the unit, so that nobody else could take it. I dare not ask how much he paid for all those years.
The Garden Suite has two bedrooms. It has its own exclusive entrance (though I could not remember how I was brought into it - Equatorial can be such a labyrinth!) There are two television sets in the suite, one in the lounge and another in the master bedroom. To maintain the exclusivity of the suite, only four occupants are allowed for the 2-bedroom suite.

The services offered include a once-a-week maid service, for changing the duvet covers and bed linens, a laundry room with washing machine, a kitchen with a wide range of implements such as microwave, stove, refrigerator and toaster.
