The London Borough of Lewisham is a borough on the southeast part of of Greater London. It covers an area of 35 sq km (13 sq mi) and has a population of about 260,000 (2011 estimate). The Lewisham London Borough Council, the local authority of the borough, is based in Catford.

The London Borough of Lewisham is bordered by the River Thames to the north, the London Borough of Bromley to the south, London Borough of Greenwich to the east, and the London Borough of Southwark to the west.

The London Borough of Lewisham comprises 18 neighbourhoods, or wards, namely Bellingham, Blackheath, Brockley, Catford, Crofton Park, Downham, Evelyn, Forest Hill, Grove Park, Ladywell, Lee Green, New Cross, Perry Vale, Rushey Green, Sydenham, Telegraph Hill and Whitefoot.

How to reach Lewisham

Presently the London Underground does not reach the London Borough of Lewisham. However, the East London Line of the London Overground serves the stations at Brockley, Honor Oak Park Forest Hill and Sydenham. The Docklands Light Railway has its terminus at Lewisham DLR Station.
