Central Polis Station (GPS: 5.41636, 100.33503) is the central police station for George Town. It is located on Claimant Place, across the road from the Campbell Street Market.
The Central Police Station originally had its complex within the city block bordered by Beach Street and Light Street. It moved to the new location somewhere in the 19th century, by re-acquiring land that was given to the Kapitan Keling Mosque
to better police the fast developing central part of George Town, leaving its former location as the Beach Street Police Station.
