City Pillar Shrine, Samut Sakhon

City Pillar Shrine of Samut Sakhon is one of the many city pillar shrines of Thailand. It is located near the meeting point of Khlong Mahachai with Tha Chin River.

The City Pillar Shrine in Samut Sakhon is where Thai fishermen offer prayers before their set sail into the set, to pray for a safe passage in the sea. They often set off fireworks as a form of good luck.
