South Phuket is where the island narrows, like the tip of a leaf, to point southwards into the Andaman Sea. This section of Phuket is hilly. It has a number of resorts, but not as plentiful as Central Western Phuket.
South Phuket is however bestowed for picturesque vistas. At the very tip is Promthep Cape, or Laem Promthep, a picture-postcard view of the sea on a good day.
