Wat Prasat (GPS: 18.78959, 98.98138; Thai: วัดปราสาท ) is a small Buddhist monastery in the Old City of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Located to the west of Wat Phabong, it has its address on 4/2 Intrad Warorot Lane 3, and the front entrance at Arak 5 Road. From the entrance, the viharn (assembly hall) is on the left while the chedi (bell-shaped spire) and ubosot (ordination hall) are on the right.
The viharn dates from 1823 and is of particular interest, as it has elegent wooden walls of teak, sheltered by double-tier sloping roofs in three layers. According to the on-site interpretive board, the temple has Buddhist artistic, historical and archaeological significance. Located within the city wall, the temple has been looked after even when Lanna Kingdom came under Burmese rule.
