Straits City Café (GPS: 5.4268, 100.32175) is a restaurant in George Town, Penang. It is located within Straits City Beauty Spa in the MBf Tower, along Northam Road. The restaurant serves a fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisine which includes various pasta dishes as well as baked rice. One of its signature dishes is the Hokkaido Honey Toast.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having our lunch here, where we visited Straits City to try out its spa program. If you are on a Couples Package at Straits City spa, you enjoy one free set of meal here. Most items come with the option of a là carte or set, which also includes a soup, a salad and a detox water.

During our visit, we had a chance to try the Baked Rice with Salmon & Mushrooms (RM24.80 a là carte/RM28.80 set), the Japanese Neapolitan Spaghetti (RM20.80/RM25.80), the Omu Rice Tori Tomato (RM22.80/RM26.80), the Wafu Spaghetti with Vegetable (RM21.80/RM26.80), and the restaurant's signature item, the Hokkaido Honey Toast. Everything was delicious (maybe also because we were so hungry after going to the spa), in particular the Baked Rice with Salmon & Mushrooms, the Japanese Neopolitan Spaghetti and the Hokkaido Honey Toast.
