The Wembley, Penang's Prosperous Lunar New Year (17 January 2019)
With just a few more weeks to Chinese New Year, The Wembley, Penang is all geared up for the New Lunar Year. The hotel has put together a festive menu to usher in the auspicious celebration.
The theme this year is both international and traditional. There will be a number of buffet spreads. On Chinese New Year Eve, which is the evening of 4 February, 2019, the hotel will hold a Reunion Buffet Dinner from 6:30pm to 9:45pm. This buffet is priced at RM158nett per adult and RM79 nett per child.
Wembley Café is serving the Chinese New Year Prosperty Lunch and Dinner from 28 January to 3 February. The lunch is from 12:00noon to 3:00pm, and is priced at RM72 nett adult, RM36 nett child and RM51 nett senior citizen. The dinner is from 6:30pm to 9:45pm, and is priced at RM122 nett adult, RM61 nett child and RM85 nett senior citizen. The prices are inclusive of 6% service tax.
During Chinese New Year, The Wembley will be having the Chinese New Year Longevity Buffet Lunch & Dinner. These are from 5 February to 10 February. The lunch is from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm, and is priced at RM72 nett adult, RM36 nett child and RM51 nett senior citizen. The dinner is from 6:30pm to 9:45pm, and is priced at RM122 nett adult, RM61 nett child and RM85 nett senior citizen. The prices are inclusive of 6% service tax.
Also during the Chinese New Year season, The Wembley is having the Love Story Buffet Dinner, in conjunction with Valentine's Day. This is on Friday, 14 February, from 6:30pm to 9:45pm. It is priced at RM122 nett adult, RM61 nett child and RM85 nett senior citizen. The prices are inclusive of 6% service tax.

The Wembley's Chinese New Year Food Preview
My wife and I are so pleased to be invited to The Wembley's Chinese New Year food preview. It was held at Wembley Café on 17 January, 2019. The preview provides us a glimpse of what is to be available throughout the Chinese New Year season. We got to meet the restaurant's new executive chef, Chef Peter Chan, a very nice and experienced chef who led us to toss the Yee Sang.
