Prosperous 2020, Pacific West (11 January 2020)
Seafood product company Pacific West held an event called Celebrate Prosperous 2020 with Pacific West at The Prestige Hotel on 11 January, 2020. Invited were members of the local social media and blogging scene. My wife and I were privileged to join in as well.
A lion dance kicked off the event, which saw various activities staged. To start, there was a doodle contest on mandarin oranges. Each of us had a chance to draw something on a mandarin orange, and the nicest design won a present.
To start of the meal, we were served a special dimsum that included Pacific West's fish fingers. following that, we were served a buffet that showcases the use of Pacific West's products. These included the existing as well as newly launched products.
One of the things we were informed during the event is that there's now an update to the Pacific West logo, something which we would not have noticed otherwise.
Among the items at the buffet included the Tempura Prawns Vegetable Rolls, Popcorn fish with Caramelized Pineapple & Cherry Tomato, Breaded Torpedo Prawns with Curry Mee, Lemon Dill Fish Fillets with Lemon Butter Sauce, Deep Fried Tempura Prawns with Creamy Salted Egg Yolk, Nori Himalayan Salt Squid Spiral Loaded Fries, Panko Squid Strips with Mango Salad, Nasi Lemak with Sweet Chili Fish Cocktails, Potato and Leek Soup with Cajun Stick. One thing I learned during this event was that Pacific West products do not need thawing. You can heat them up in a microwave oven or air fryer directly from the freezer.
The final event of the day was cupcake decorating. Each table was given cupcakes with drops such as fondant and chocolate chips. I am pleased that our table was one of the two that won.
My wife and I had a great time at Pacific West's Prosperous 2020 event. Not only did we get to enjoy their products to our hearts' content, we also came away with a few goodie bags of gifts.
