OZO George Town Penang (GPS: 5.42208, 100.33037) is a mid-range hotel in George Town, Penang. Located on Argyll Road, become operational in late 2020. The hotel, which belongs to CJ Global, will be operated by the Thailand-based ONYX Hospitality Group, which will also operate the 5-star Amari Penang.

OZO George Town Penang offers 141 guest rooms. The regular rooms, each 25 sq meters in size, are named Sleep and Dream. There are 67 units of each. In addition to that, there are 3 Sleep Family Rooms, 2 OZO suites and 2 OZO Family Suites. All rooms have views of George Town, with some the views of the World Heritage Site.

Room facilities include IPTV system, black out curtains, complimentary wifi, electronic safe, hairdryer and bathroom with shower cubicle. Amenities include Talk meeting rooms, and Tone fitness centre. The reception is named "The Spot". There are two dining outlets namely EAT, the full-service restaurant; and ON22, the sky bar.

OZO George Town Penang uses an automated car park. Visitors coming by car simply needs to drive their vehicle into the rotary lift. There are 55 parking slots, and parking is complimentary to inhouse guests.

OZO George Town Penang Hotel Review Stay

My wife and I enjoyed the privilege of staying at OZO George Town Penang on Friday-Saturday 11-12 December 2020. We were given the OZO Suite, which is the largest suite in the hotel. It affords a splendid view of the north coast, from George Town all the way to Tanjong Tokong.

The room is very comfortable. There is a separate living room with its own television set, so in total, there are two sets in the suite. The bathroom even has a bathtub. There are His and Hers basins and plenty of wardrobe space. From the swimming pool level, we can catch a gorgeous view of the George Town skyline.

Breakfast is on the 21st floor of the hotel. It is surprisingly good. Breakfast is in the buffet format, and in keeping with the pandemic period, we were issued gloves for taking the food.
