Nasi Kandar Kassim

Nasi Kandar Kassim (GPS: 5.41414, 100.32838) is a nasi kandar restaurant in downtown George Town. Previously known as Craven Cafe, it is located at the junction between Macalister Road and Dato Kramat Road. (I have yet to ascertain whether Nasi Kandar Kassim is the same as Kassim Nasi Kandar, which is at Brick Kiln Road.) The restaurant has a long history. It was established in 1920 by Haji K.K. Dawood, an Indian Muslim trader who hailed from South India. Most Penangites know this restaurant as Craven 'A'.
