Damansara Damai MRT Station (PY05; GPS: 3.19995, 101.59255) is an elevated mass rapid transit station located in the northwestern Kuala Lumpur suburb of Damansara Damai. It forms part of the MRT Putrajaya Line, serving residents and commuters from this growing residential area and nearby townships. The station lies approximately 18 kilometres northwest of Dataran Merdeka, the traditional Zero Mile of Kuala Lumpur.
The Damansara Damai MRT Station serves as the fifth station from the northern terminus of the MRT Putrajaya Line. Built as an elevated structure along the Damansara–Puchong corridor, it caters primarily to residents of the Damansara Damai township and neighbouring communities such as Sungai Buloh and Sri Damansara. The station’s design follows the standard modern elevated layout, with concourse and fare gates situated below the platform level.
Strategically located near the main road of Damansara Damai, the station provides easy access to feeder bus routes operated by Rapid KL, connecting commuters to surrounding residential and commercial areas. Park-and-ride facilities and designated drop-off points make it convenient for both daily commuters and those connecting from private vehicles or ride-hailing services.
The station became operational on 16 June 2022 as part of the Phase 1 opening of the MRT Putrajaya Line1. It lies between Sungai Buloh MRT Station (PY04), which also serves as an interchange with the MRT Kajang Line and KTM Komuter, and Sri Damansara Barat MRT Station (PY06). The entire line provides a direct connection from the northern reaches of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to key urban centres such as Tun Razak Exchange and Putrajaya.
While primarily serving a residential area, the station is close to several notable facilities and landmarks within the vicinity of Damansara Damai, including the Perdana Commercial Centre, local schools, and community parks. The location also provides convenient access to nearby townships like Sri Damansara and Sungai Buloh, expanding connectivity in the northwestern Klang Valley corridor.
The opening of Damansara Damai MRT Station has significantly improved the accessibility of the surrounding township, reducing travel time to central Kuala Lumpur and major employment zones. It also contributes to the Malaysian government’s long-term urban mobility goal of integrating various rail lines under the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network.
