View of Sungai Perlis at Kangar (1 November, 2009)
Sungai Perlis is one of the main rivers in the state of Perlis. It flows roughly in the northeast to southwest direction, to empty into the
Straits of Malacca at Kuala Perlis. The river flows through the heart of Perlis and passes through its capital, Kangar.
Sungai Perlis is not the longest river in the state, instead the longest is Sungai Arau, which is 21.5 km in length, with the second being Sungai Korok (17 km) and third is Sungai Abi (13.9 km). Sungai Perlis is only the fourth longest river, at a length of 11.8 km
