Jalan Putra, Kuala Lumpur (Jun 2024)
Jalan Putra is a minor road in the
Chow Kit neighbourhood of
Kuala Lumpur. It connects the planned KL PWTC (from the defunct
Hentian Putra Bus Terminal) in the west to
Jalan Chow Kit in the east, at the intersection of
Jalan Raja Laut. Several roads intersect with Jalan Putra or branch off from it. They include
Jalan Tun Ismail, Jalan Thamboosamy, and Jalan Ipoh Kecil, among others.
Jalan Putra was named after the
Putra World Trade Centre, which in turn was named after
Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, the first prime minister of Malaysia. Several other roads in Kuala Lumpur are named after him, including Jalan Tunku and Jalan Tunku Putra.
