Jalan Pinang is a road in downtown Kuala Lumpur. It connects Jalan P. Ramlee, across from Jalan Law Yew See, in the northwest to Jalan Kia Peng in the southeast. It also forms a junction with Persiaran Petronas.
Jalan Pinang was originally known as Penang Road. When it was renamed, it took on the meaning of the Areca nut rather than of Penang Island. Being a major road in the Kuala Lumpur city centre, Jalan Pinang is today lined with high rise commercial and residential towers. In addition to Kuala Lumpur, there are also Penang Road in Penang and Penang Road in Singapore.
