Yan District, Kedah (25 July 2015)
Yan District is a small district in Kedah. It is bordered by Kota Setar District to the north, Pendang District to the northeast, and Kuala Muda District to the south. Yan District is along the coast of the Straits of Malacca.
There is a legend in Yan District, and once upon a time, there lived a giantess who became pregnant. One day, while the midwife was treating the giantess with an egg, along came a troll who turned them all into rocks - the giantess became Pulau Bunting, the midwife became Pulau Bidan and the egg became Pulau Telur.
