Lorong Dumbar (23 March 2013)
Lorong Dumbar is a small lane in Jelutong, Penang. Also called Lorong Bukit Dumbar, it connects with Jalan Dumbar at the junction of Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Phei Shin. The lane zigzags between the houses to reconnect with Jalan Jelutong in front of the now defunct Suiwah Supermarket building. Another branch of Lorong Dumbar continues north to connect with Lorong Madrasah. As this road developed out of a country path, the northern and southern sections are not contiguous. A row of attap houses run right through the middle.
Apart from a row of double-storey terrace house build along Lorong Dumbar, the rest of the houses here are still zinc-roofed village houses.

Getting there
The nearest bus stop is along Jalan Jelutong. It is served by Rapid Penang bus 301, 302, 303 and 401.View Lorong Dumbar in a larger map
